On Saturday 3 September, Breyten Primary Hosted the Mpumalanga Cross Country. Breyten, Skole, Sport News

On Saturday, 3 September 2016, Breyten Primary School, situated in Breyten Mpumanga, hosted the Mpumalanga Cross Country Championships.
During this event, the three regions, Gert Sibande, Nkangala, Ehlazeni and Bohlabela, competed against each other.
Each region had 12 athletes in each age group participating. There were 1 200 athletes participating on the day.
The director of sport in Mpumalanga, Mr. Thuli Nagel, were also present on the day.
During this event, the Mpumalanga Cross Country team were also selected.
The following learners from Breyten Primary were selected for the Mpumalanga Cross Country team to participate on 31 September and 1 October in White River at the National event.
Also it is important to mention that Philasande Ntshapela got Mpumalanga colours this year in three different sport codes. In March this year, Philasande was selected for the Npulalanga Athletics team for the 100m and 150m distances. He participated in the National Athletics in Port Elizabeth.
In the second term, Philasande was selected for the Mpumalanga Sevens rugby team for the boys u/13 years and on Saturday he received his Mpumalanga colours for cross country boys 12 years.
We are proud of every learner who participated and also those who received their Mpumalanga colours on Saturday.
